Wow did this summer fly by! But looking back I didn't do all that much which is...fine. I worked a ton because it's time to save and go back to school :) I went to a lot of Brices Chuckwagon races which was fantastic!! I spent time with my family, threw a party for mom and dad's 25th aniversary (Congratulations by the way!), I moved out to the farm, I learned how to do team penning, I figured out I love photography and that I would like to do something along those lines, I fell in love which is and feels so amazing again, and I...wow I did really do quite a bit this summer after all.
Today! Today Brice and I woke up and went and winter readied the liner, dumped the sewer, cleaned out the living quarters, visited with mom and dad, talked about preparations that are happening for Terri's (Brices sister), wedding, and then headed home. Then I decided to do some baking! It's funny how the fall season puts you in this warm fuzzy feeling, at least for me, and makes me want to bake pies, and be with family and well...be thankful. Watching the tree leaves turn color, waking up to chilly mornings, and seeing the horses grow their winter coats is somehow relaxing.
So on that note, bring on the orange red and yellow, the pumpkin pie, the cheezy wool sweaters, family pictures, and the last of the warm summer air. Cheers summer, twas great.
